Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Electronically Steerable Passive Array Radiator(ESPAR)antennas have been proposed for low-cost analog adaptive beamforming. This paper presents a configuration of a 5-element ESPAR antenna and numerical analysis on its beam/null steering capability by the method of moments. The simulation results confirms that the antenna can steer beam and null simultaneously to a various angle combinations. To quantify beam/null steering capability, we propose an evaluative function SBNA which indicates the angle range in which beam and null are established simultaneously. The values of SBNA are calculated by changing the element length and spacing. The highest F_(SBNA factor)is achieved when they are 0.265λ and 0.260λ respectively.
