Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In a high speed TDMA system, frequency-selective fading is a serious problem.A spatial-domain path-diversity system using multibeam adaptive antenna has been proposed to reduce the frequency-selective fading, and to realize diversity. In this system, we need to estimate the time delays of multipath signals. If the estimation is not accurate, the system performance degrades. For this reason, the MUSIC algorithm has been proposed for the time delays estimation. However, the MUSIC algorithm needs a large quantity of operations. In this paper, we propose to use another scheme which is called an orthogonal vectors method. It needs much less operations, but the BER performance is almost the same as that of the MUSIC algorithm.
