Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently, adaptive array antennas have been studied for the purpose of increasing frequency reuse in mobile radio communications. Although frame synchronization is required to control the adaptive array under the minimum mean squared error criterion, the conventional correlation method for a frame synchronization word can not achieve sufficient performances under severe multi-path fading environments with low SIR. This paper proposes a frame synchronization method based on MAP estimation, which can solve this problem by suppressing interference. Computer simulations show that the proposed scheme can operate properly even under interference-rich fading environments, and that it can significantly improve the synchronization performance.
