Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In CDMA systems, fast and accurate path timing detection (path-search) is required to obtain the path diversity (RAKE) effect. This paper proposes a CDMA path-search scheme with short detection time using combined delay profile of diversity antennas. In the proposed scheme, common path timings detected from the combined delay profile are used in each antenna branch demodulator. Since fading level variation is suppressed in the combined delay profile, path-search time can be reduced. Computer simulation demonstrates that the proposed scheme shows path-search time achieves the path-search time of less than 15 ms, which is 1/2~1/4 less than that of the conventional scheme detecting independent path timing from each delay profile of diversity antennas. The proposed scheme is particularly effective in a low Doppler frequency range of less than 40Hz.
