Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A 3-step cell search method with frequency drift compensation was proposed for W-CDMA cellular system with asynchronous cell site operation. The cell search time achievable by the proposed method in the presence of frequency drift between base station and mobile station by computer simulations. It was demonstrated that cell search can be finished in less than about 250msec at 90% locations when the transmit power ratio of Perch-CH over total transmit power was 5% and there was frequency drift of 3ppm. And it was also demonstrated that the cell search time degradation from no frequency drift case was only 100msec.
