Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In wide area network which packets and acknowledgments are transmitted through many relay nodes, transmission delay varies by buffering on a relay node. In this report, we propose a variable round-trip-delay model which round-trip-delay varies according to a Markov process, considering not only random error on a relay link but also packet loss by buffer overflow. Moreover, we analyze the throughput of Go-Back-N ARQ protocol under such model. From numerical results, we show the characteristic of round-trip-delay against the throughput.
