Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Various types of ATM switches have been widely studied and developed in B-ISDN. The shared concentration output queuing (SCOQ) switch has been proposed as one of the output queueing switches in order to reduce the number of switch elements. Since the number of there transmission requests increases in case of the high cell loss probability, it is important for the multimedia communication to handle the different requirements of the cell loss probability. In this paper, we propose the shared concentration output queueing switch for multiple priority classes in order to satisfy the requirements of the cell loss probability. The proposed model can satisfy the requirements by sorting the cells of an output address and an priority class and transmitting to the independent banyan networks of each class. We evaluate the cell loss probability by means of computer simulations and numerical calculations. Additionally, we show the mean delay at output buffers by means of computer simulations. As a result, we show that the proposed model satisfies the different requirement of the each cell loss probability.
