Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A microwave Automatic Vehicle Identification (AVI) system remotely interrogates an object and identifies it by signals from a transponder. However, AM noise in the signals transmitted by the interrogator degrades the communication quality. This paper proposes a method to suppress AM noise by correlating the received signal with the transmitted signal. We developed an interrogator that uses a duplex antenna to transmit and receive signals. The experimental results confirm that this method suppresses AM noise by 15 dB when there is relatively large AM noise in the interrogation signal.
