Field Experiments on Coherent Multistage Interference Canceller for DS-CDMA Mobile Radio

Abstract(in English) The results of field experiments on a coherent multistage interference canceller for DS-CDMA mobile radio are presented. The canceller uses pilot symbol-assisted channel estimation and replica generation of other user's interference ; it has 3 canceling stages. Two simultaneously communicating users are considered. The reduction in the received signal power required to achieve the average BER of l0^<-3> is about 3dB from the conventional matched filter receiver if the received signal power of the interfering user is 4 dB higher than that of the desired user. And we also show the fast transmit power control with coherent multistage interference canceller has good tracking performance against real fading variation. At the case when the received signal power of the interfering user is 9 dB higher than that of the desired user, the coherent multistage interference canceller reduces the target Eb/IO and average transmit power by about l.0dB and 4.0dB compared with the case with conventional matched filter receiver, respectively.
