Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper presents the laboratory experimental results of 2-Mbps data transmission in 5-MHz bandwidth (chip rate of 4.096 Mcps) using fast adaptive transmit power control (TPC) based on SIR measurement in frequency selective multipath fading environments for a wideband direct sequence code division multiple access (W-CDMA) mobile radio link. In the experimental system, the very low SF of 4 is used, therefore the influence of multi-path interference (MPI) is large. The experimental results show that the application of antenna diversity is indispensable to mitigate the influence of MPI. When the number of multipaths is 2, the average BER of l0^<-6> can be achieved at the target E_b/I_o of approximately 4 dB by applying fast adaptive TPC, 2-branch antenna diversity and 2-finger/antenna Rake diversity.
