Iterative Decoding of Convolutional Codes Applied to Separate coded PPM

Abstract(in English) In this paper, we propose a new method for iterative decoding of separate coded in a pulse position modulation (PPM). The decoding scheme consist of a parallel concatenation of some MAP decoders and an iterative decoding. A PPM channel with 2^L position is equivalent to the partnllel combination of L "completely correlated" channels. The correlation information is empoyed at the iterative decoding. Computer simulation results show that the propose method improves bit error rate performance in the region of low signal-to-noise power ratio.
