Abstract(in English) This paper investigates the cell search time performance using scrambling code masking with other-cell interference for W-CDMA asychronous cell site operation in field experiments. It was demonstrated from the experimental results that the cell search time of about 480msec can be achieved under vehicular environments at detection probability 90% when the 10 traffic channels (T-CH's) exist with the received average power ration of perch channel (Perch-CH) from BS1 and BS2, S_/S_=0dB at the average E_b/N_0 of about 13 dB for T-CH and the transmit power ratio of Perch-CH to TCH is 3dB. It was also shown that the cell search can be accomplished within about 650 msec at the detection probability of 90% when 3-step cell search algorithm is used with the number of long coodes of 512.
