Abstract(in English) The direct conversion receiver has recently attracted attention as a suitable architecture for realizing a 1-chip monolithic receiver.In order to adopt this type of receiver to linear modulation systems,it is important to realize the wide dynamic range in the receiver.For this purpose baseband AGC is commonly used.However,dynamic acquisition characteristics of this type of AGC have not been reported in detail. This paper proposes a new ′aig6rithm for the Automatic Step Size Gain Control(ASGC)technique.The algorithm improves the first slot acquisition performance in TDMA radio communication systems under Rayleigh fading environment.Computer simulation results show that the proposed method effectively reduces the acquisition by a half or two-thirds compared to the conventional method in the dynamic range over 8OdB.
