Performance of modulation level-controlled adaptive-modulation under limited transmission delay time

Abstract(in English) This paper evaluate an adaptive-modulation method with a constant transmission rate for land mobile communications.The modulation levels such as transmission-off,QPSK,16QAM,or 64QAM are selected according to the received signal conditions monitored using time division duplex.Moreover,the.transmission delay time is limited by memory buffer to keep data transmission rate constant. The received signal condition is estimated using extrapolation of the estimated received signal error at the decision stage.The performance is evaluated by computer simulation in the case of 32ksymbol, s.The results show that the proposed method improves the BER performance of a constant data transmission rate system under multi-path fading conditions.
