Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In a DS-CDMA system, the same frequency band is shared with other users using different spreading codes. The signals interfere with each other. Interference cancelers and adaptive array antennas have been studied to reduce the interference. On the other hand, multibeam array antenna can reduce the interference because it has a filtering funcion in the space domain. In this paper, we evaluate the bit error rate perfomance in a down link of the DS-CDMA system. We show that the multibeam antenna has much better performance than the omnidirectional antenna. Furthermore, it has been shown that the excitation which lowers the sidelobe leveas reveals better performance in a multipath environment.
