Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The code division multiple access (CDMA) scheme has drawn the attention of many researchers for its high user capacity in cellular (macrocell/microcell architecture) mobile system. The hierarchical structure system may be widely used in the future. For a better understanding of the importance of forward link power control, in this paper the effect of long-term fading on the forward link of the hierarchical macrocell/microcell CDMA system are examined and quantified. Assuming that the path loss (Long-Term Fading) follows the lognormal distribution, user capacity plane and outage probability of forward link in the hierarchical system with and without forward link power control is investigated and discussed.
