Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In electronic and optical systems it is necessary to convert a linearly polarized wave into a circularly polarized wave. Such converters utilized in the field of microwave engineering are generally termed"circularizers". The simplest type of circularizer is a parallel-metal-plate structure which is widely used for suppression of precipitation clutter in radar systems. The disadvantage is that this circularizer tends to be quite physica11y. In this paper, a thin circularizer of practica1 interest is described which has been designed emp1oying both the TE_10 and the TEM modes in homogeneous dielectric fi11ed, metal plates.
