Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The tre1is-coded cochannel interference canceller (TCC) has been proposed in order to improve the capacity of TDMA digital mobile radio systems. The TCC uses trellis-coded modulation with maximum-likelihood sequence estimation of both the desired signal and cochanne1 interference. This technique permits operation even When the signal-to-interference ratio is OdB. In this paper, the low-complexity real-time TCC developed by Kyoto University in cooperation with Cybernetics and NTT DoCoMo is presented along with experimental measurements.
