Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper investigates the bit error rate(BER) performance using tree-structured orthogonal code generation in laboratory experiments for W-CDMA forward link. The experimental results demonstrated that the orthogonal multispreading factor using the proposed code generation can be achieved the same BER performance as the orthogonal multicode transmission, thus implying that the orthogonality within the same path was maintained. It was also shown that although the performance degrades due to the multi-path interference when the number of paths, L is large, the degradation can be small by using tree-structured orthogonal code generation(Allowing the degradation of required Eb/N0 of 3dB, normalized channel load becomes 30% when L=3).
