Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper investigates the cell search time performance using long code masking for W-CDMA asynchronous cell site operation in laboratory experiments. It was demonstrated from the experimental results that the cell search time of about 1.1 sec can be achieved at detection probability of 90% when the 10 TCH's exist at the average Eb/N0 of 10dB for common control channel(CCH) and the transmit power ratio of CCH to TCH is 3dB. It was also shown that the cell search time at the detection probability of 90% using 3-step sell search algorithm is estimated to be about 1.7 sec when the number of long codes is 512.
