Abstract(in English) Snowfall data was simultaneously recorded by a weather radar, an electric balance and an imaging system. The snowfall rate R was measured with the balance and the images of falling snowflakes were used to obtain size and speed related parameters. An analysis of the obtained data demonstrates that a knowledge of flake properties is required to accurately obtain the coefficients B and β used to describe the radar reflectivity factor Z=BR^β.
