Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper proposes a selective artificial path diversity method and effective power scheme with multiple sector antennas consisting of delayed PN codes in an indoor environment. For a frequency nonselective fading channel with a very small delay spread, such as in a building, we can't obtain effective path diversity gain. We introduce a new method with selected sector antennas using same total power effectively without loss at the base station, which enables each path to achieve artificial path diversity with an independent fading patten. Moreover the shadowing fading caused by various indoor obstacles can be improved remarkably. The performance of the proposed system is analyzed and demonstrated by computer simulation in Rayleigh fading indoor environment.
