Evaluation of a shielding material for low-frequency electromagnetic waves

Abstract(in English) Recently, the effects of low-frequency electromagnetic waves on human bodies or on electronic circuits have been reported. A shield box made of Cu or 1%Si-Fe is used for measuring the penetration characteristics of low-frequency electromagnetic waves(up to 10 MHz)through a newly developed shielding material. In this paper, the measurement results are compared with the numerical calculation. Radiation and penetration of a electromagnetic field through the material is calculated numerically by using a Sommerfeld integration in a layered midium, which is consistent with actual measurements.
