Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We evaluate error control techniques proposed for a mobile video communication system. Our proposed system is based on SR-ARQ, using proposed ARQ protocol and coding control scheme for decreasing delay. Moreover, we assume the use of RCPC codes in realizing a hybrid ARQ scheme. We measure video quality degradation due to channel error and quantization error and also evaluate maximum delay caused by interleaving and ARQ retransmission in Rayleigh and Rican fading channels. We show that the hybrid ARQ scheme is effective especially in Rican fading channels for reducing the delay.
