Abstract(in English) | We propose a rate adaptive transmission scheme using repeated and punctured convolutional codes for indoor infrared wireless communications.The proposed system uses the coding scheme consisting of an outer punctured convolutional code and an inner repetition code used for each punctured convolutional code symbol.The proposed system varies the code rate of the punctured convolutional codes and the rate reduction factor of the repetition codes, that is, the bit rate adaptively depending on the channel conditions, and can achieve the required bit error rate.We show that the proposed system can realize communications under worse channel conditions and thus can increase the transmission distance. |
