Abstract(in English) This paper describes throughput and delay performance for an ATM wireless access (AWA) system which consists of a central station (CS) with a sector antenna and several radio modules (RMs). RMs access a CS at random. By using a sector antenna on a CS, collision probability of access channel signals from RMs decreases and access probability increases, and so throughput and delay performances improve. A computer simulation obtains high throughput and delay performances when a sector antenna is applied on a Cs.
