Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Taking into account the spectrum efficiency and the number of base stations, micro cells are suitable for high traffic areas and macro cells for lightly loaded areas. Therefore,a service area that contains not only high traffic areas, but also light traffic areas, should be composed of both micro and macro cells. This paper shows the optimum micro-macro cell structure which minimizes the number of base stations under a specific spectrum efficiency.
