Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In conventional SCM, IM/DD fiber optic link,FDM radio signals transmitted to control station (CS) are seriously contaminated by intermodulation distortion (IMD).And,using millimeter-wave as radio-carrier frequency, direct modulation of LD is difficult because of its narrow modulation bandwidth. In this paper,we propose a new optical transmission scheme of FDM radio signals using TDM technique. In the proposal system,FDM radio signals on base station are sampled, and the sampled pulses are transmitted to CS by TDM.We apply this scheme to micro- cellular radio system and theoretically analyze its performance with regard to received CNR and total transmission capacity.
