Abstract(in English) | A signal processing scheme which cancels co-channel interference is proposed.Co-channel interference is a major factor deteriorating spectral effciency of cellular radio system.The proposed co-channel interference canceller employs both trellis- coded modulation (TCM) and maximum-likelihood sequence estimator extended to cancel co-channel interference.Conventionally,TCM is known as an effective countermeasure against white gaussian noise, however this paper reveals its useful performance for a co-channel interference canceller.To avoid the increase of the amount of numerical signal processing due to TCM,the proposed scheme makes use of delayed decision feedback sequence estimation.The bit error rates in quasi-static channels are presented. |
