Abstract(in English) This paper describes the combined effects of channel spacing and the type of modulation spectrum on the frequency efficiency. Channel utilization at several values of channel separation normalized by the bit rate with QPSK and with GMSK is evaluated through two-dimensional coverage computer simulations.Required adjacent leakage power of the QPSK spectrum,which is mainly degraded by amplifier nonlinearity,is also evaluated from the spectrum efficiency point of view.A simplified DCA algorithm which is suitable for TDMA is proposed.By appropriately selecting the quality margin for channel assignment according to the channel separation,system capacity can be improved without degrading communication quality which includes interference probability and forced call termination probability.
