Accurate Measurement of Complex Dielectric Constant by Cylindrical Resonator : Effect of Atmosphere to Measurement Accuracy

Abstract(in English) A standardization of a dielectric material evaluation for a microwave resonator using the resonance characteristics of the dielectric cylinder shortened by two metal plates at both ends has almost been established.Our contributions to the standardization are summarized in this report.However,the effect of atmosphere, especially an effect of water vapor,surrounding the resonator has not been studied this time.This report clarifies that a humidity of higher than 30%RH makes a significant error in the measured value of loss tangent.A jig structure to reduce the error is also proposed.
