Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) It has been studied that the multi-layered cellular system has the merit of relieving the load of channel management caused by handoffs. In this paper, a dynamic channel partitioning (DCP) is proposed in which the ratio of number of channels between a micro-cellular and a macro-cellular are changed adaptively according to the traffic condition so that the blocking probability and forced termination probability can be reduced in a multi-layered cellular system. Simulation shows DCP can offer a good grade of service for a temporal variation of offered traffic on the assumption that the detection of the terminals velocity is possible.
