Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper proposes an application modulation level controlled radio system for ATM networks constructed by wired (optical fiber) and radio links. The call blocking probability of proposed system are theoretically analyzed and compared with them of the system using conventional fixed modulation level radio link. As results, it is clarified that when the traffic volume or the peak position of the traffic distribution is varied, the proposed system can effectively absorb the traffic variation owing to flexible radio VP (Virtual Path) capacity varied by the modulation level controlled scheme. It's also clarified that the modulation level controlled scheme has an improvement effect on call blocking probability when the VP capacity is decreased by other VPs in the execution of conventional VP capacity control.
