Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper evaluates the cumulative distribution of burst error and the effect of FEC in the symbol rate and modulation level controlled adaptive modulation with TDMA/TDD systems for land mobile communications. Computer simulation confirms that the burst length of the adaptive modulation system is much shorter than that of QPSK, and thereby a considerable BER performance improvement can be obtained when FEC is applied.
