Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) 'SR-chirp' spread spectrum scheme is suitable for high-speed data transmission on 2.4GHz band, because it can successfully avoid both jammer and multipath problem even in low spreading-rate. In a wireless modem using this scheme, plural detectors are necessary instead of complicated despreading/RAKE-combining signal processing. We have succeeded in reducing the hardware size by developing a novel differential detection method and its pipelined/repetitive use. By means of quick-acquisition circuits of AGC and clock-recovery, in addition to the above detection method, excellent error-rate performance has been confirmed through burst data transmission experiment in multipath fading channel.
