Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper investigates influence of long codes on the RAKE reception in CDMA mobile radio communications. Conventional DS-CDMA mobile communication systems employ the long code in order for whitening the interference signals from other cells. The conventional long code randomizes not only the undesired signals but also the different delay time desired signal components which, therefore, become noises and do not become the ones to be combined in the RAKE processing. The phenomena impairs the RAKE performance. This paper proposes a method to improve the impairment by introducing a new long code with higher correlation between chip interval. Next, an analysis shows the relationship between the chip interval correlation and de-spread signals. Finally, computer simulations verifies the effectiveness of the proposed method.
