Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Thie paper proposes for CDMA cellular systems a transmission power control scheme based on neighboring-cell pilot power in order to improve quality of forward cannels. In the scheme, mobile stations measure power levels of pilot signals received from neighboring cells. Base stations control transmission power of each channel independently based on the pilot power levels reported from respective mobile stations, and the same quality is given to all channels. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme decreases outage probability even with 1.5dB error in pilot power levels, while the conventional scheme with the same control error fails to improve outage probability.
