Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | The most serious transmission impairment is caused by the rain attenuation in the radio systems using frequencies above about 10GHz. So it is required for the system designer to estimate the cumulative time distribution of rain attenuation. Although one-minute rain rate distribution is necessary for the estimation of rain attenuation distribution, rain rate is usually measured only with a longer integration time than one minute (for example, the integration time used in AMeDAS is 60-minutes). Therefore, it is essential to develop an estimation method of one-minute rain rate distribution from n-minute distributions. In Japan, an estimation method of one-minute rain rate distribution from 60-minute rain rate ones was proposed by using M distribution, and was confirmed by the comparison with measured data. In this paper, this method is investigated to be applied worldwide by using newly constructed data bank which consists of 46 data sets from 20 countries. A good coincidence is observed between estimated and measured one-minute rain rate distributions. Furthermore, the error of this estimation method is shown to be reduced by using meteoro1ogicah parameters such as convectivity ratio and so on. |
