Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, we investigate the effects of microwave ovens interference on the performance of digital radio communication systems (PDC, PHS, ISM-band wireless LAN). At first, we experimentally measured the interference radiated from the microwave ovens. Then, using the measurements results, the statistical characteristics of microwave ovens interference, and the effects of the interference on the performance of π/4-shift QDPSK and DS/CDMA systems are evaluated. The evaluations results indicate that the presence of microwave oven interference significantly degrades the performance of digital radio communication systems. Moreover, we propose a new channel assign method of TDMA for microwave oven interference environment and investigate the performance improvement achieved by using this method.
