Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) DS-CDMA has been extensively investigated as a promising application to the future mobile radio access. SIR-based transmit power control is traffic-adaptive control scheme and effective for the near-far problem. In this paper, SIR measurement schemes using pilot symbols are proposed. The power control error and required E_b/I_o were investigated. The bias in the SIR measurement is pointed out, and the effect of the outer loop which absorbs the SIR measurement error and keep a constant channel quality is also applied.
