Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper describes a high bit rate transmission system with l0Mbit/s, π/4-quadrature phase shift keying (QPSK) / time division multiplexing (TDM) transmission with four channels for land mobile communications. Reduced-complexity sequence estimation is used in which stronger power delay waves are selected by a channel estimator. Sequence estimation is performed using only these two waves. Delay waves are selected by using estimated impulse responses. The system can compensate distortion of delayed wave up to 1.8μsec. The performance is evaluated by computer simulation. It is shown that the proposed sysytem reduces complexity and effectively compensates for frequency selective fading.
