Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, we propose convolutional coding of generalized nonlinear CPM to improve the performance of uncoded generalized nonlinear CPM without expanding bandwidth. we make the number of state trellis large by using the state transition of encoder's registers and change the modulation index appropriately depending on the input symbols. This leads to the extension of merge event and increase the Euclidean distance without bandwidth expansion. The performance of convolutional coded generalized nonlinear CPM is also evaluated by using the minimum Euclidean distance d^2_ and the bit error probability.
