Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We propose the wireless integrated multiple access (WIMA) protocol under Fixed contention Non-Interleaved-Frame Fixed-Length (F-NIFFL) scheme, in which hybrid contention/reservation access is used for data. In this scheme, some of data packets are first transmitted in the contention-based slots, and the packets which collided or not transmitted in these slots are made reservation and are transmitted in the later reserved slots. A two-dimensional first-order Markov chain model is used for our analysis, and we show that our protocols can decrease the data-packet delay in the conventional WIMA under Pure Reservation NIFFL (PR-NIFFL). Especially in satellite networks, because of large round-trip propagation delay, our protocol is more effective.
