Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper proposes an adaptive array base station in order to reduce co-channel interference. The BER characteristics in both quasi-static and time-variant fading channel were evaluated by computer simulation in consideration of case that signals arrived from multiple directions. The methods estimating the transmission weight by observing behavior of weight in the up-link were also investigated. In a quasi-static fading channel, when the number of antenna elements is equal to total incidents, the result shows that the ideal BER is improved with the total number of incidents increasing. In a time-variant fading channel, the BER characteristic for SMI is degraded. However, RLS and SMI interpolation method can track the fading and little degradation is observed for fading rate of less than 1×10^<-4>. For the transmission weight estimation, the first order estimation using up-link weight for both RLS and SMI interpolation method shows almost the same result, and provides the BER of less than 1×10^<-2>for the fading rate of 1×10^<-4>.
