Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Time diversity technique is expected to show excellent diversity effect when it is applied to systems where the signal fades periodically such as helicopter satellite communication systems. In helicopter satellite communication systems, carrier cycle slip occurs frequently due to low C/N ratio, and causes degradation in the bit error rate performance. In this paper, we apply time diversity technique to helicopter satellite communication systems, and propose a novel carrier slip compensation scheme. In proposed scheme, carrier slip is detected by using the correlation of plural data sent at different time. We evaluate this carrier slip compensation scheme by computer simulation, and show that the proposed scheme provides good performance in terms of BER.
