Abstract(in English) A pilot symbol-assisted coherent multistage interference canceller (PSA-COMSIC) using repeatedly updated channel estimation was formerly poposed for DS-CDMA mobile radio systems. In this paper, for increasing capacity moreover, accurate channel estimation scheme using both pilot and data symbols is proposed and BER performance and capacity of this pilot and data symbol-assisted coherent multistage interference canceller (PDA-COMSIC) are evaluated by compuetr simulation. The simulation results demonstrate that the capacity using the PDA-COMSIC with repeatedly updated channel estimation is about 1.6 times greater than that of the conventional matched filter receiver in interference-limited environments when channel coding is used. It is found that serial / parallel hybrid schemes using interference rejection weight control, which can achieve almost same capacity degradation as the basic serial type PDA-COMSIC, are effective in reducing the demodulation processing delay.
