Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Uplink/downlink independent radio resource management is desirable to accommodate various types of traffic in future PCS. This paper investigates the performance of downlink time-slot allocation methods that allocate wireless resource on a burst-by-burst basis. The main problem of downlink time-slot assignment is the delay caused by SIR measurement. This access delay is especially crucial for real-time transmission. To reduce time-slot allocation delay properly while attaining high capacity, several time-slot management algorithms for downlink transmission are presented and compared by a computer simulation.
