Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Direct conversion techniques have an advantage to realize small sized microwave transceivers. A direct converter directly converts between baseband signals and radio frequency signals. In satellite communication systems, high and nearly equal level multi carriers are input into a quadrature mixer. So, the third-Order distortion that affects receiving characteristics must considered. In this paper, we propose a method to obtain a leyel diagram of a receiver for satellite communication systems, considering the third-order distortion generated by a quadrature mixer. We show NPR of even harmonic mixers that determined from the third-order distortion analytically. Finally, we show a developed X-band direct conversion receiver has almost the same BER characteristics compared with a heterodyne receiver.
