Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) With the advance of signal processing technique, a lot of communication systems are proposed based on the combination of Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) and Multi-Carrier (MC) modulation. In the MC-CDMA systems, several sub-carriers are used for transmission and their instantaneous frequency responses are different from one sub-carrier to others in frequency selective fading channel. Therefore to achieve good communication link between mobile station (MS) and base station (BS) during the soft handoff process in MC-CDMA systems, it is favorable to select the better received signal at respective sub-carriers rather than to select the BS. Considering this point, we compare two methods, sub-carrier selection combining scheme and BS selection combining scheme by computer simulation.
