Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) MMSE combining can be applied to both adaptive array antenna and space diversity antenna. However, the criteria of the element spacing are completely different when they are applied to the base station in the mobile communication systems. This report reviews the modeling of incident waves for the adaptive array design and space diversity design, and discusses the relation between the element spacing and the SINR relating with the radiation patterns, to conclude the equivalence of these two techniques.
